Roam's Driver Requirements

If you are a driver from outside Canada with a valid licence, this article outlines our criteria to get you on the road.

Our Driver Criteria:

Must be a minimum age of 23

Must have no major driving violations/suspensions/infractions within the last 3 years

Must have no major criminal convictions or moving violations within the last 3 years

Must have a valid licence

International drivers are required to provide the following documents:

A 3 year driving record / licence record

Proof of previous insurance coverage/experience

**Roam requires a minimum of 1 year experience on an active or previous car insurance policy with details of claims or proof of no claims during the previous/active policy period**

**Both documents must be issued from the same country the driver's licence is issued from**

USA licence holders can provide:

A copy of their driving record from the DMV or state (1 year minimum of driving experience and history)

Proof of credit history (current credit/FICO score)
