Roam's Driver Requirements

If you are a driver from Canada with a valid or paper or photo ID licence, this article outlines our criteria to get you on the road.

Our Driver Criteria:

Must be a minimum age of 23

Must have no major driving violations/suspensions/infractions within the last 3 years

Must have no major criminal convictions or moving violations within the last 3 years

Must have no more than 3 demerit points or 3 outstanding violations/suspensions/infractions

Must have a valid credit score. Roam's minimum credit score requirement is 650

Scores lower than 650 will be reviewed however this may result an increased security deposit

Must have a valid Canadian licence
**Select provinces will be asked to provide a 'Motor Vehicle Report' / 'Driving Record' which can be requested from your official provincial licensing website (ex. Service Ontario)**

Canadian drivers opting out of Roam's insurance are required to provide ONE of the following:

Proof of a personal insurance policy with coverage for 'Non-Owned Auto' or OPCF 27

Deductible on personal policy must be $2,500 or less

Proof of credit card insurance coverage for rental vehicles or 'Non-Owned Auto'
