Add a Roam vehicle to your insurance policy and save $100/month
Step by Step Guide
Who is eligible ?
Any Roam vehicle can be added to your personal insurance policy, as long as the policy is active. Adding a temporary to your policy is known as 'Scheduled Auto', and its quite common to do, even for a car that you don't own! A vehicle covered under a 'Scheduled Auto' policy extends the coverage of your personal automotive policy to your Roam vehicle.
This is recommended if you plan on using the vehicle for multiple months and want to lower your deductible, reduce the cost of Roam's insurance by $100, or have been denied coverage by Roam's fleet policy.
To add this coverage, you must call your insurance provider and ask for the vehicle to be added to your insurance policy.
Tip: The average cost to add a vehicle to an existing personal auto policy is ~ $150. The good news is that it can be cancelled any time without penalty, so its perfect for monthly or usage less than a year.
Minimum Insurance Requirements
Your personal auto policy must have a minimum liability coverage of $1,000,000. Your deductible can be any amount, depending on your preference.
When adding the Roam vehicle to your policy, you must also have Roam listed as an 'Additional Named Insured'.

Tip: If you are adding the vehicle to an existing policy, you can easily remove it once you return your Roam vehicle, with no penalty. Any vehicle added to your policy as scheduled auto is only billed 'month to month' by your insurance provider.
There is no stress about early cancellations or long term commitments!
Step 2: Email your new Certificate of Insurance (COI) to Roam
When your policy has been updated and the vehicle has been added, please email your updated policy and COI to support@roam.auto.
Step 3: Processing & Updating Your Coverage
Your Subscription Success Manager will review your COI to process your new coverage. Once eligible coverage is confirmed, you will be sent an updated agreement, and your insurance discount will be added! It's that simple!
